Desai & Associates Ltd was incorporated in 2005 and offers a wide spectrum of consultancy services to clients both in the public and private sector. The firm is registered with the Construction Industry Development Board of Mauritius as a service provider in the fields of civil engineering and project management.
The company is involved in projects in the Republic of Mauritius, Africa and the Indian Ocean region. The company has also been involved in projects in Rodrigues, Seychelles, Mozambique, Kenya and Rodrigues.
The firm provides services including feasibility studies, design, tender documentation, contract administration and site supervision as well as infrastructure assessments for projects in the construction industry. Desai & Associates Ltd also provides project management services to clients on infrastructure development projects.
ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL
Desai & Associates Ltd is managed by Jayesh M. Desai, who has over 35 years of varied experience in infrastructure and the built environment. He has been in the consultancy field for over 33 years and has worked on projects in Mauritius, Rodrigues, Seychelles, India, Mozambique, the United States and Kenya.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Fergusson College, University of Pune, India, and then completed his Bachelor of Engineering from the prestigious College of Engineering (COEP) in Pune, India, before undertaking studies at the graduate level in Environmental Engineering and Project Management from Rutgers, the state university of New Jersey in the United States.
He also has a diploma in Materials Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune, India, and has undertaken a number of short courses in the field of engineering, project management and other construction-related areas.
Jayesh Desai is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers of Mauritius, a Chartered Engineer of the Institution of Engineers of India, and a Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He has previously served as the President and Secretary of the Institution of Engineers of Mauritius, Founder Member and President of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Mauritius, and Board Member of the Construction Industry Development Board of Mauritius. Jayesh Desai has also served on many committees working in support of the construction sector.
